Colonial's tough blued steel extended choke tube is designed to take steel shot abuse, so your barrel doesn't. Steel shot may bulge even the toughest, thickest shotgun barrel at the choke, gradually destroying not only pattern density but the barrel itself. Lead Shot may be shot through the Steel Shot choke tubes. Please note that the constriction will differ. When shooting lead shot through our steel shot chokes, you will get two constrictions more open. For example, the Improved Cylinder Steel Shot will be the same as a Cylinder lead shot; Modified Steel Shot will be the same as an Improved Cylinder lead; Full Steel Shot will be the same as a Modified lead and the Extra Full Steel Shot will be in the neighborhood of an Improved Modified lead.

16 Ga. Super Steel
This is the answer for reviving old favorites that aren't "steel compatible". My order was filled quickly and efficiently and the product seems to perform exactly as I'd hoped. First try at patterning was enough to convince that my oldie will be back in the duck blind this Fall!

Patterns evenly
I purchased this for mostly lead use. I purchased the Xtra full tube, which gives a pattern with lead, similar to improved modified. My tube measures .704, just right for what I wanted.

Super Steel forbuckshot.
Bought the X Full Super Steel to try 16 gauge #1 buckshot in and amazed at the nice tight pattern at 30 yards.

TRUE SIZE IMPROVED & MODIFIED CHOKES
Purchased to complement an existing Full choke. These fit perfectly. Finish is beautiful. One of the chokes ordered did not fit correctly. Called and described a problem with the threading. A replacement with return label was sent out immediately. No problem at all with the replacement.

Its a choke tube at a good price
I had the guys thread the barrel on my 36" marlin goose gun. I have the steel full choke. I patterned it out to 75yds with hevishot 3" shells. In a 30" circle I had 60 of 190 pellets. I plan on buying an extra full steel choke and patterning it soon. Good company, I had them thread two barrels and they called to make sure what size chokes I wanted after I placed an online order for thin and regular chokes in the same order.

The chokes look very well made they were shipped fast i purchased the IC and a Mod choke's for my browning A5 20 ga the balck looks good on my gun only thing i wish it had would be a knurled end to tighten the choke in the field
